Recycling and Circular Economy

Within MAREL’s production processes, we consistently apply the principles of the circular economy through the systematic reuse of recycled materials.

Plastic waste generated during production processes is not treated as final waste. Instead, it is internally processed, ground, and reintroduced into the production cycle, reducing the need for new raw materials and increasing the efficiency of material utilization.

Metal cast products that don’t meet quality standards or represent technological surplus are not discarded. Instead, they are collected and remelted, allowing metals, primarily aluminum, to be returned to the production cycle and given a new useful life.

All other types of waste are carefully sorted and sent for recycling through authorized partners, with strict waste tracking. This includes metal shavings, copper, waste oils, paper, cardboard, and packaging materials, ensuring that valuable resources are returned to industrial use whenever possible.

This approach contributes to reducing waste generation, conserving natural resources, and developing a sustainable production model in which materials are utilized to their fullest potential throughout their life cycle.
