PRE-INSULATED JOINT WITH INTEGRATED FUSE MJPF

KOD/CODE: MJPF | STANDARD: NF C 33-021 | EN 50483-4
PRE-INSULATED JOINT WITH INTEGRATED FUSE MJPF

Pre-insulated joint with integrated fuse MJPF is designed for connection of aluminum or copper overhead conductors of cross-section from 4 mm² to 35 mm². Crimping is done over the insulation sheath with a die E140. Permanent and dear markings on insulation sheath indicate the sequence and the number of crimpings, cross-section of the conductor and stripping length. After the crimping process and placing the 22x58 mm fuse in the housing, electrical contact and watertightness are achieved with elastomer caps. Elastomer caps are made in different colors so that the cross-section of the conductor can be easily identified. The inside of the Joint is filled with silicone grease. Pre-insulated Joint MJPF is made of high-quality materials of high tensile strength and resistance to environmental effects and UV radiation.
The joint does not contain parts which can fall off during installation. Dielectric strength of the joint is tested in water under voltage of 6 kV applied for 1 min. The joint is equipped with an end cap that maintains watertightness when the joint is not connected to the main distribution line. An important and unique feature of this joint is that it has the function to protect electricity consumers from overvoltage in power distribution network and at the same time protect power distribution network from overload. The joint has an electrically insulated housing where a standard fuse cartridge 22x58 mm is placed with current limit range from 4 A to 125 A. The fuse cartridge is removable, which enables its fast and easy replacement without cutting the conductor, thus protecting the electricity consumer's meter board and the network.

  • Connection and disconnection under load up to lmax = 60 A.
  • When a fuse cartritge is not installed in it, the joint does not conduct electricity.
  • The number of fuse cartridge replacements is unlimited.
  • Possibility of sealing.
